Our Approach to Care
At Northwoods, our residential treatment program is designed for adults with complex mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use concerns. As a dual diagnosis treatment center, we address mental health and substance use together within one coordinated plan, so treatment stays aligned, clinically grounded, and focused on long-term stability.
Each client’s care is individualized and led by a multidisciplinary team, combining evidence-based therapy and psychiatric support with expressive and somatic services when appropriate. From precision onboarding through discharge planning, we maintain a calm, structured environment where clients can stabilize, practice skills consistently, and leave with clear next steps.
Our Guiding Principles
We hold ourselves to high standards, not only in clinical care, but in how we treat people.
